Surgery: Everyone heals differently and as well everyone has different pain tolerances. Generally speaking, any surgical incision will take 7-14 days to heal and pain may not even be an issue, or any pain can be easily treated with as needed medications as deemed necessary form the treating Urological surgeon. No; under anesthesia: Maximal comfort if done under general anesthesia. Can be done under local anesthesia, if so, advise applying Emla (lidocaine and prilocaine) or lmx topical anesthetic cream 1/2 hour before procedure, in area where local anesthetic will be injected. Then some oral analgesics can be prescribed for post-operative pain. Ice pack to scrotum may help for 1st 24 hours. Good luck.

Post Surgery issues: I am sure that in your discharge paperwork are instructions about what to expect and what to do if something unexpected is happening.  Surgeons use post op issues to watch for complications.

But, surgery leads to inflammation in order to heal.  But, given you have pain you must call the surgeon on call.

Not recommended: This can be extremely irritating and cause a burn. I would not advise.

Perhaps: Indications for a varicocele repair include:  same sided scrotal pain, sub fertility/infertility, cosmetic concerns, poor left sided testiicular growth, bilateral varicoceles, among others.  If the pain is due to the varicocele, it will likely resolve.  If it is not due to the varicocele, it will not respond.  Fixing it does not guarantee fertility or being pain free.

: That is a very bad idea. The methods to treat can cause harm to normal skin  and are only available by prescription or  carried out by a doc trained and skilled in the procedure. Pl go to a Urologist for safe treatment. Wish you well

Leave it alone: Let it heal by itself. Any interference is likely to make it worse. It is unhygienic to remove hair form your genitals by shaving or chemicals.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

As : As you know by now these hair removal creams are much too strong for the delicate skin of the genitals, especially the scrotum. If you are still in pain, or for anyone with a similar problem, advil or tylenol (acetaminophen) are good choices. There is also a spray called dermoplast that can be purchased over the counter. This may help.
If the area becomes swollen, hot, or you develop a fever please see a doctor.

Scrotal pearl: Scrotal pearl is a calcified testicular appendix. Appendix testis present in about 70% of men, is a vestigial ; useless structure ; remnant of temporary primitive fetal kidney. Usually cause no problem, but can twist and be confused with testis torsion, or calcify and feel like a grain of rice. Check it regularly over few months to ensure no enlargement to suggest a tumor. Painless. Doesn't grow.

Scrotal Pearl: Is a calcified appendix testis or epididymis which has become detatched from testis or epididymis and lies with tunica vaginalis (membrane which surrounds testis. Usually loose. Does not cause pain. You may have had a short acute episode of scrotal pain months or years previously. Does not require any treatment. Should not be a problem. Usually an incidental finding at scrotal exploration.
