Rash: If its red and scaly ( irritant dermatitis ) usually a dermatologist would prescribe a Hydrocortisone cream for several days . If there are pimples ( folliculitis )  an antibacterial ointment may help . See a dermatologist for treatment and diagnosis.

i seem to have an itchy rash by my gential area. it is by my bikini line, top of my inner thigh going towards the back inbetween my buttocks. it is extremely itchy and flares up when i sratch it. the skin has become flaky and scab like eczema ?

It is safe: There should be no problem wearing clean underwear if it doesn't rub and irritate the area more. You should probably put some over the counter antibiotic ointment on the cut and cover it with a bandaid or gauze to keep it clean.

Don't : Your hair follicles are irritated once traumatically removed.  Can try otc Hydrocortisone cream for those areas but would not use this on a chronic basis due to side effects.  Be mindful for bacterial folliculitis from shaving.

You can use: Some ointment such as Vaseline to keep the burn from contact to prevent worsening pain and promote healing. Just a little bit but it still needs to breathe. Or use triple antibiotic ointment to prevent infection and contact. Thanks for trusting in HealthTap.

Shave daily: You should shave daily. Your dermatologist can give medication to help control problem if there are still sores.

: You are likely to have folliculitis, inflammation of hair root.  See your primary care doctor if you need a short course of antibiotics.
Keep in mind shaving razor should be kept clean and changed often.
