Varies by type : Different woods have different effects.  At the very least you will have irritated your lung with large and small particulate matter, which puts you at risk for COPD as you age.  Maple, rosewood, cedar, and others can lead to lung disease over time through alleric reactions.  Some woods (yew, oleander) are poisonous and inhalation can be directly toxic.  See attached chart.

Yes: Common side effects include fungal mouth infections (“thrush”) which appear as white patches and can be avoided by rinsing mouth after each use. Other common side effects, which may go away over time, are headaches, fatigue, depression, muscle and joint pain, runny nose, sinus infection, and sore throat. If any of these do not go away after a few days, report them to your doctor.

i have been using max air inhaler for 20 yrs. i use 1 puff at night before going to bed to help breathing. will i have anynegative long term effects ?

Are you stable on it: 20 years is a long time to use solely Maxair (pirbuterol) for breathing problems. The guidelines indicate, if you use a rescue inhaler more than 2 times a week, you need a maintenance inhaler, one that contains a steroid. It will treat the inflammation and your body will not get used to it. Talk to your doctor about your options.

Poisonous : Gasoline is poisonous if inhaled. Go out side and get plenty of fresh air. The fresh air will displace the volitile chemicals in the gasoline.

It depends: What kind of medication is it?  There are various side effects to different medications.  One commonly seen side effect of "dry inhalers" containing steroids is fungal/candida infection of the mouth.

Depends: Chloramine fumes are toxic. It can produce asthma like events or injury to the internal membranes of the airways and oxygen exchange mechanism. Short term exposure that just triggers a cough followed by leaving the area would be self healed over time. Continuous exposure could produce longer term damage to these structures and may lead to chronic respiratory problems.
