i am 45 and i have sarcoidosis i also have other serious health issues, is it safe to say that i will have heart failure in the end?

Depends: Sarcoidosis involving the heart is diagnosed in 5% of patients clinically and can cause arrhythmias and dysfunction of the left ventricle. When indicated Prednisone is used for cardiac involvement. You don, t mention the other serious illnesses but they could be more serious for you than just the sarcoidosis.

Yes: In fact, an long-term upset stomach is often one of the early and more troubling problems when the heart muscle is failing.  I hope you are able to find effective treatment for this often very difficult illness.

Possible for MRI : Would miss it. Sarcoidosis is a strange illness that can affect the heart and lungs. Most common us congestive heart failure but atrial fibrillation is also a complication and could be felt as palpitations and would not show up on the mri. Has your doctor checked for this with an event recorder or holter? Just a thought. MRI looks for structural things.  I'm thinking more electrical.

i survived sarcoidosis with full lfgren syn. (+also heart, eye& neuro problems). no steroids, went into remission.  how possible that it'll back after pregnancy? sometimes light ana, low. c3

Doubtful: ANA positivity and a low C3 are more markers seen in lupus rather than sarcoidosis.  Our doctor could check other inflammatory markers such as an ace level (angiotensin converting enzyme) and a sed rate esr.  These are more likely to be elevated in active sarcoidosis.  A chest x-ray would also be helpful.

Defibrillator: Indications for Defibrillator include:  Cardiac arrest for V-tach or V-fib, Documented episodes of sustained V-tach or V-fib with hemodynamic instability, Ventricular arrythmias not responding to medications, Recurrent passing out do to arrythmias.

Reopen coronary: The only way to stop a heart attack is by reopening the affected coronary. The coronary can be reopened by a percutaneous coronary intervention, thrombolysis or by coronary bypass surgery. For an acute event pci and thrombolysis the quickest life saving procedure.

Heart attack : Chest pain, chest pressure, arm pain, shoulder, epigastric or upper back pain. Also shortness of breath, or flu like symptoms. Or just not feeling well.
