is zyflo safe to take? is it better than singulair (montelukast)? singulair (montelukast) doesn't completely work for me. i still feel raspy. i feel like airways&throat sandpaper

Yes: It's similar to singulair, (montelukast) but may work better for u. Other consideration to look at is silent reflux if u have tried many different allergy like meds and non work. Silent reflux from stomach can causes u'r symptoms too. The reason it's "silent" is because it does not cause pain or heartburn.

Dry Mouth: Are you a mouth breather? When there are enlarged tonsils, nasal blockage, allergies, mouth breathing happens. Make sure you have an habit of drinking a lot of fluid, i mean water mainly. If not comfortable, see your doctor.

Autoimmune: It could be something like pemphigoid or lichen planus. Check with an oral pathologist.

: You may have a bacterial illness which results in recurrence due to resistant bacteria or partial treatment. A culture of the mucus and your throat may be ordered by your PCP. Monitor your temperature and a repeat COVID screening test may be obtained at the same time. Soothing fluids will often relieve symptoms.

Mgt: This may be related to her infection or a local reaction to a lotion/soap for example. Strep infection can be associated with a sandpaper type of rash.
