Liver ultrasound: It sounds like you have a condition called "fatty liver"   - which can cause right sided abdominal pain.    Unfortunately there is no real treatment except for watching your fat intake.  The no space occupying lesions is a good sign - no cysts   - any mention of gallstones??

It is within normal: The average dimensions of liver in an adult male is: length 26.4±0.1 (CM); width: 15.7±0.2 (cm); depth: 6.0±0.2 (cm).  The average weight is between 1500 and 1700 gm.  For a female, the respective measurements are: length: 25.4±0.2; width: 15.0±0.1; depth: 5.5±0.2 and weight is 1200-1500 gm.  So you are fine, assuming all your blood work is fine and there is no reason for you to have liver disease

It depends: There is no way to know what percentage of the liver is functioning.  We do know that once 75-80% of the liver cells have been destroyed, the liver begins to fail.  If people have more than that, the liver can function normally.  If no further injury occurs, people can live for years.

Depends on cause: Alcohol is a common cause of elevated enzymes and levels come down in a couple of weeks if one stops drinking. On the other end is chronic hepatitis due to may causes and in that disorder the enzymes remain elevated.

Fatty liver: Lose weight if overweight, cut out alcohol if using; cut out simple sugars, starches, decrease fat in diet.  Get followed up. Sometimes, fatty liver leads to chronic inflammation, even scarring in the liver. Check meds with doc. Can be reversible, but needs diligence and follow up.

Regulating fluid and salt intake is important, and avoiding infections is crucial.  Further, if the person qualifies for transplant and is transplanted, they could live a decade or more, depending.

That would be: a borderline length, but generally the length alone is not sufficient to determine whether the liver is abnormally enlarged, because there are normal anatomic variations in which the right lobe of the liver is elongated.
