Not wise: Levaquin (levofloxacin) is a type of antibiotic known as a fluoroquinolone.  There is some concern about fluoroquinolones causing damage to the growth plates in bones.  I would not advise it.

Yes: Levaquin, (levofloxacin) and antibiotics like it called quinalones, may effect bone formation and for this reason are not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.  There are antibiotics that are safe to use.

Safe: Using prenatal vitamins, a multivitamin, or just Folic Acid for 2 months prior to pregnancy reduces your risk of having a baby with a neural tube defect or a cardiac defect. So take your vitamins! the fact that you are using Levaquin (levofloxacin) prior to ovulation doesn't change your risk. Safe to try and get pregnant? Probably. To decrease your anxiety take your vitamins and wait 'til next month.

Better not to: Levoquin is a pregnancy category c drug, which means it is unclear whether or not it is safe in pregnancy. This is because of a possible effect on bones and joints of fetuses. If you think you could be pregnant and are taking levoquin, call your health provider to see if you can take an alternative antibiotic.

Polyps: This means signs of chronic endometritis, however the polyps may need to be removed prior to attempting any treatment since they may interfere with implantation particularly if they are large.

No risk, no worry: If your tubes indeed have been removed, you are infertile and pregnancy is impossible. Your bc pills are having no effect on your chance of pregnancy and the antibiotic will make no difference either. (Anyway, antibiotic interference with hormonal contraception is greatly exaggerated. It&#x27;s not quite an urban myth, but it is a very rare problem if it occurs at all.)

No harm: When you ovulate it still takes time for the sperm to meet the egg and start growing cells that divide and grow a baby. The first 4 weeks of a pregnancy we call "all or nothing" which means you either have to do a lot of harm which will cause a miscarriage (not from your medication) or nothing will damage the baby!
