: Could be allergies. Frequently, bedding and bed materials collect dust and dust mites which can make allergies worsen during sleep. Try washing all bedding in Hot water and wrap the actual mattress in a protective cover that seals in the dust and mites, so that you are not breathing them at night. You can also try using an antihistamine at night such as loratadine, cetirizine or fexofenadine.

Nasal drip: am nasal drip can be itchy or sneezes may also occur
and be allergic chronically. You can try a trial of 
Zyrtec or Claritin 10 mg po q am LTC and see if that resolves.

Dust allergy ?: A runny nose in the morning could be the result of dust or mold allergy.  If this really bothers you, try taking Claritin (loratadine) or Allegra otc (antihistamines) at time of sleep.  If those drugs do not help, see an allergist.

Allergic rhinitis: It is a form of allergy that involves the nasal passages and it can be triggered by inhaled allergens.
Symptoms are congestion, runny nose and sneezing and it can be associated with watery eyes.
It is treated by avoiding the triggers in addition to medication like antihistamine, nasal steroids or/& other anti allergy meds  like antileukotriense.
You will need evaluation to confirm the diagnosis.

AM Nasal Symptoms: Several conditions will typically cause am symptoms such as yours, the most common being indoor allergies.  Allergy to dust mites is usually worse overnight and in the morning due to exposure to mite debris in pillows and mattresses.  Having contamination of bedding by a pet could also trigger symptoms in a pet-allergic person.  Covering bedding and removing pets from the bedroom can help.

An allergist can assist in identifying the trigger through skin testing and direct you on the road to symptom relief.

Allergies: It sounds like you may have some allergies. I suggest trying an antihistamine like claritin (loratadine) or zyrtec  (cetirizine) before bed and see if that helps. If not your doctor may be able to prescribe a nasal steroid for you to try. If they antihistamines do not help please see a doctor.

Common cold?: Cetirizine is an antihistamine and will help with allergies.  If you have an upper respiratory infection or URI, it will not make it disappear although the symptoms may be a little better.
