No: Running is not a good idea. Artificial joints wear like the tires on a car. More miles means more wear. Walking is good and trek poles will add 40% to the exercise. Swimming, dancing, golfing, light weight lifting, and cycling are also good. Avoid activities that involve impact stress on joints such as jumping, jogging, running, raquetball, and tennis, as well as contact sports like football.

Better: A hip replacement often improves range of motion.  Sometimes too much motion, and dislocation becomes a risk.  Metal on plastic surfaces don't last forever, so higher impact activities should be limited.  Otherwise, daily activities are restored, and function is better than before surgery.

Hip pain with sneeze: "hip pain" caused by sneezing might represent a lumbar disc problem.The increase in pressure cause by the sneeze can affect nerves near the lumbar discs. This is called "referred pain" . 
 
The other possibility is a groin hernia. Again,  the increased pressure in the belly from the sneeze causes the hernia to bulge and cause pain.
