Sore skin: The sulfa drug you are taking is sun sensitive and could be responsible for your pain. A sun screen would help. Another possibility could be shingles if the pain is limited to one side of the body. A rash is not necessary

Yes: Antibacterial gel such as purel can often cause dry hands. Moisturizers like aquaphor or petroleum jelly can certainly help and are mild and safe.

i fell on my right knee and i got more of a floor burn which produced a sore & skin was torn and it formed a scab now . however around the scab it is red. the fall happened two weeks ago .am i to be concerned with that red around the scab?

: No.  Redness is common around a healing wound.  If the wound is painful, or there is pus oozing out of it, you might have an infection and should see a physician for a proper evaluation.  But if it is just red around the scab with no other symptoms, relax and let it heal.  Apply an antibiotic ointment if you are worried about the possibility of an infection.
