Accepted Answer

Cataplexy: occurs typically as a manifestation of Narcolepsy. REM onset sleep is seen on a Multiple Sleep Latency Test in the absence of any other more common sleep disorder that might produce excessive daytime somnolence (as is seen with obstructive sleep apnea)  Syncope (due to insufficient blood flow to the brain for whatever reason) can be brief with ringing and reverses when blood flow is restored.

None: There are drops to soften wax inn the ear, but nothing to stop tinnitus or ringing in the ears.

antibiotics: It would be important to clarify if you have a sinus infection - b/c chronic rhintis can cause similar symptoms  and are treated with antihistamines and decongestants and nasal steroids.  Sinus infections often dont set in  for 10-14dys - although can be quicker if you have a chronic   sinus/nasal issues.

Possibly: Ear ringing is a poorly understood symptom and transient ear ringing can occur with jaw pain, neck pain as well as sinus issues.

Get a general exam: The ear, the eye, the head! too many structures involved. If i had to choose one specialist, i'd pick a neurologist. Your primary care doc may direct you. Make sure you do not have an aneurysm or a/v fistula in the head.

Eustachian tube: obstruction from inflammation due to throat infection or middle ear infection can give you ringing. Take otc Sudafed and chew gum.  See an ent doctor if do not feel better in few days.

i just had a severe heart fluttering, followed by ringing of the ears, and a slight headache.  now i feel weak and dizzy. my sugar is 6.6. what else could it be?

Go to your doctor: On the less severe end this could simply be a low blood sugar or low blood pressure after strenuous activity (need more information for this one).  On the more severe end this could be heart-related and therefore needs to be evaluated either by your family physician or in the ER if it persists.

See your dr. ASAP: To have so many bleeding issues going on it once, it's important for you to see your pcp as soon as possible. So, they can work you up immediately. It is not normal to have all of these different bleeding episodes happening at the same time, or separately. It's impossible to diagnose without a physical examination. Ringing in EARS: First find the cause and treat it, that will work in most cases, and the symptoms go away, in others it is a frustrating experience especially in some older patients
some otolaryngologist recommend niacin, but there is no evidence to support it.Other meds that have been tried neurontin, (gabapentin) Campral a grug used to treat alcohlism is being studied and may be helpful according to studies done in brazil in2005.

Find the cause: Tinnitus is latin=ringing: in the ear is often a symptom, not a disease in itself..Causes include infection, foreign body, exposure to loud noise, eustachian tube dysfunction, nasal allergies blocking the tubes, multiple sclerosis, side effects of some meds, and currently common in the young is "ipod-induced" so, treating the above will likely resolves your symptom...Consult your doc..Good luck.
