Brain AVM : It is unlikely that an intracranial (brain) arteriovenous malformation (AVM) is causing tinnitus as this is an uncommon symptom. Am MRI of the brain is a good screening test to determine if you have an AVM

can anxiety cause tinnitus? or worsen ringing in ears? it seems like i always had faint ringing, it seems worse now. but i'm struggling with anxiety.

Yes, anxiety can: Make your tinnitus worse.  I can make any physical symptom worse.  Ask your behavior therapist about the possibility of learning self-hypnosis or meditation to help you.  Peace and good health.

Teeth clenching??: One of the reasons for tinnitus - ringing in the ears - is teeth clenching.  Trigeminal nerve that controls jaw closing muscles also has a branch that controls tensor tympani muscle that controls ear drum tension.  Hence the connection.  Have an evaluation by a dentists with expertise in treating temporo mandibular dysfunction (tmd) to check this.

Yes and no: Tinnitus could be intermittent or constant.We do not have good treatment for tinnitus.

You may have: tinnitus however your symptoms are more consistent with wax build up in the ears. Have your health care provider clean out your ears or use a product like Debrox at home.

hx bilateral tinnitus. ears have been worse lately (ringing) and had a tmj flare yesterday. today i have had fluttering/spasms off and on in my right ear all day. anything i can do? ear is also hurting?

Tinnitus: You should have a hearing test and be seen by an ENT doctor.  It is possible your TMJ (jaw joint) could be causing  the tinnitus issue.

dog started barking tonight. every time he did, my ear would ring. tinnitus sufferer already. now when i talk i get a ringing/beep in ear or if i hear certain noises it happens. this came out of nowhere! i have tmj too. never experienced this before?
