Possibly: May be.  If it doesn't, seek a dentist expert in treating TMJ disorder. One of the reasons for tinnitus - ringing in the ears - is teeth clenching.  Trigeminal nerve that controls jaw closing muscles also has a branch that controls tensor tympani muscle that controls ear drum tension.  Hence the connection.

See your doctor : it may not have fully drained. If so your hearing may seem dull until it clears. Ask for ear drops that have some steroid like hydrocortisone to get specific instructions on use. You may need to lie down for a few mins. During instillation, and put some cotton in to keep it there. You may need to ask whether short term decongestant can help you too. Stay away from dairy products too.Treat allergy.

Infection irritation: If there is an infection within the middle ear then, the increased pressure in that compartment may be transmitted to the inner ear apparatus which is where the 8th nerve lies. Also, the infectious entity itself may be accessing the inner ear compartment since it's all fluid connected and this may be having a direct toxic effect on the 8th nerve hence, the tinnitus.

TINNITUS: You need to see ENT for evaluation due to tinnitus. In can be part of  meniere's disease or any disorder.
