No unless done often: Soldering is where solder is melted by a hot iron and allowed to cool, thus joining 2 pieces of metal, etc.  If this is done rarely, like once in a while, it likely won't cause any side effects, even with lead, but if done often, it might cause lead poisoning as the process might cause some of the lead to be melted, if hot enough.  Still, lead has a very high melting point, so it must be very hot.

Not likely lead: It's VERY unlikely you got lead poisoning from such brief exposure.On the list of possible causes of headache, lead poisoning is very low.

Yes: The most likely exposure to cause an acute toxicity would be exposure to lead fumes.  This is common in battery and stained glass window manufacturing.  Exposure causes: decreased mental function, anorexia, metallic taste, headache, slurred speech, kidney problems.  If this is a one time exposure unlikely any concern, but if this has been repeatedly, you may need to see  your doctor and get test.

Wait &amp; see: You did the right thing with applying cold compress. It remains to be seen whether you have 1st (pain &amp; redness), 2nd (pIn, redness &amp; blistering) or 3rd degree burn (loss of sensation). If 2nd or 3rd, then seek medical attention.

To worry, or not...: Don't chew on leaded objects. Think about the men and women who make their own rifle and pistol cartridges with bullets and gunpowder. Then, they go over to the shooting range and fire off 50-100 rounds every week. Afterwards, they clean and oil their weapons. There's lead residue everywhere. These adult men and women are just fine. They don't eat the lead, and they remember to shower up each day.

i have a strong taste of solder in my mouth it's been this way since october  after i worked with stained glass. i don't work with glass comes&goes?

Solder: Was it a lead based solder?  Please see your General Physician.  Blood work may be in order.
