RLQ ABD PAIN: The "classic" symptoms of appendicitis include generalized abdominal pain that eventually "moves" to the right lower abdomen. The pain becomes constant, progressively worsening, made worse by movement (coughing, walking), associated with nausea+/-vomiting+/-decreased appetite+/-fever. Of course, only about 1/2 the time do we see these classic symptoms-- if you suspect appendicitis, see a doctor.

See your doc: Most people think their whole abdomen is their stomach, but the stomach is in the upper middle or upper left of the abdomen.  If your lower abdomen hurts, that could be your skin, muscles, bladder, uterus, or intestines. If the upper part of your abdomen hurts, it could be acid reflux, pancreatitis, or other problems. See a doctor for an assessment.

Not directly: Intestinal spasm are controlled by a nerves and enzymes and chemicals that completely independent from the female hormone.
The only thing in common is stress.
Stress can cause the spasm in intestines, same time, hormone cycles in woman can affect their mood, that the only common factor.

i've had recurring sx of appendicitis over 12 months, ct scan wo contrast showed diverticulitis and thickened bowel. but pain on right lower side. dx?

Diverticulitis: You are so young for diverticulitis. You better rest those bowels for a few days and flush them out and then change your eating habits or you will have problems as you age

Could b hernia: Focal area of recurring, intermittent pain could be a hernia. The location is junction of the lateral rectus sheath and obliques, which is where spegalian hernias occur. These are hard to diagnose due to the anatomic complexity here. When the pain comes mark the spot with ink pen, relax your abdominal wall to see if the pain goes away. Ultrasound might help get a diagnosis. Be well.

i had a laparoscopic appendectomy for my appendicitis in early october of 2017, i have healed very well but i have noticed that after i have a bowel movement i get a sharp pain on my lower right side where my appendix was.

can chronic appendicities cause rib pain like pain on my ribs or can that be due to my right sided intestine inflammation ?

Yes: Any process occurring in the abdomen could potentially lead to referred pain to adjacent structures, so the rib pain may be from appendix. The pain could also be due to a different process, such as fracture or inflammation from the appendix. Have you spoken to your doctor about the pain? Have you had a recent chest x-ray or other diagnostic imaging? Do you have fever? Have you had recent labs?

POSSIBLY: Appendicitis usually presents as a vague pain around the navel and mid-abdomen, which then progresses to right lower quadrant over 12 to 24 hours.  Some patients might perceive the pain as a cramp, or spasm.  Diarhea is usually not associated, but loss of appetite is.  Certainly, as the disease progresses, fever can develop. Good luck.
