Various: Carpal tunnel at wrist can cause pain referred to shoulder.  Pinched nerve in neck could result in shoulder pain, associated with tingling and numbness in fingers.  Brachial plexus problems may do the same.  If worse with arm up, perhaps thoracic outlet, better up , maybe cervical.

Arm pain: Most likely explanation is a herniated or bulging cervical disc. Thoracic outlet syndrome, Pancoast tumor, &amp; lung cancer are much more rare possibilities.

Pinched nerve: Because patients having cardiac problems can have these symptoms, you should have this ruled out.  But the most common cause is an irritation of a nerve in the neck by a bone spur or herniation that can cause pain or numbness that runs down the arm into the hand.  An MRI can usually show the cause of the problem if it does not resolve.  Thank you for the question.

If : If you have a bad dental infection, you can get abscesses that extend into the soft tissues of your neck.  I suppose an infection that's bad enough might cause irritation of the nerve bundles in the neck that carry information from your arm and hand.  If that is what's going on, it is an extremely serious and potentially life-threatening problem that needs to be evaluated right away.

Stop typing and...: ...see a neurologist. The two most likely (but not the only) diagnoses that come to mind are a herniated disc, possibly C7-T1, or a brachial plexitis, which is assumed to be a viral polyneuritis in the shoulder region. In the long term, it’s benign. But your post is only the beginning of the diagnostic process, not the end. You require medical attention, sooner rather than later. Go.
