Maybe liver: Could be liver, gallbladder, pancreas referred, diaphragm, or lining of ribs/muscles/ligaments.

Stools: Black stools can mean bleeding of the GI tract, usually a bleeding ulcer. This can be serious, get to your doctor for evaluation.

Call the surgeon: This could be normal post surgical pain, but it also could be sign of an infection or some other surgical complication. Please follow up with whoever did the procedure.

CHOLECYSTITIS ?: Right abdominal pain with radiation to your back can be gb stones.You need to have abdomen ultrasound to find out the dx.

RUQ pain: May be gallbladder or gastritis with or without H pylori.  Could also be hepatitis or  constipation.  Would  follow up w/ doc/ urgent  care today if having pain so can gets sonogram and check out gallbladder.

What endoscopy : What kind of endoscopy you are getting for chest popping rib pain , most likely you have a rib problem inflamed or broken it could be costochondritis OR TITZ  SYNDROME treated by ibuprofen possible rib block . I do not know how endoscopy is going to help you. GOOD LUCK

Possible: Drinking leads to liver damage which increases pressure in venous system. This increased pressure leads to prominence of veins that are usually small. This includes small veins on the ribcage.

Rib fractures: CT could show a variety of things not seen on an US.  The most likely would be rib fractures.  Also, a CT is likely to note more suble changes of inflammation, and lymph adenopathy.  Plus, the CT should provide a nice look at the pancreas which is often difficult to see on US
