Not a clear? ??: A rib removal has nothing 2 do with scoli.Nor does a thoracoplasty have any connection 2 scoli. A thoracoplasty, depending on what is 2 b done may or may not require rib/ribs 2 b removed, but not in their entirety, just enough 2 allow exposure.

Irritation: This sounds like just local irritation of the nerves in the area of the surgery. This should get better with time.

Depend: Depend upon what symptoms is producing you.If the symptoms are svere(such as vascular or nerve compression)the answer is yes, however if symptoms are mild usually therapy(physical) can help without the surgery.

Minimal possibility: Soft, movable, painless, slowly growing masses are often bening. However, malignancy risk is always present, but often &lt;1%. Characteristics that suggest malignancy include: pain, rapid growing, irregular, hard, fixed mass.

For what?: It is extremely rare to need surgery on a rib for a fracture, especially when it is just a single fracture.  The main exception to this is if it is badly displaced and has punctured a lung or vessel; and then it is considered an emergency and there really is no choice.  All that being said, if your single kidney has normal function most surgeries are reasonably safe.  You should check with your md

No: As the kid grows the chest fills out and muscle mass will generally fill in the voids &amp; make this less apparent.

See your surgeon: Could be a retained common bile duct stone, sphincter of oddi dysfunction, or a hernia from one of the laparoscopic port sites. Could also be that the pain was never caused by the gallstones in the first place, and it is due to something like costochondritis, peptic ulcer disease, or abdominal wall muscle spasms. Your surgeon should at least be able to check for complications after operation.

hello im 16 and i have a uneven rib cage my left side is smaller than my right side.the right side is perfect as it needs to be but my left not,this is giving me. stress and im worried about it can i fix it with exercises or a surgery?

: This is hard to answer. An uneven size of your rib cage may be from a rotation of the vertebrae in your back where the rib is based. It could be something else, but without an exam and x-rays it is hard to be sure. I knw of no exercises that will change how your ribs are aligned.
