Irritating : The names like Retin A, Retin A Micro, Renova, Refissa, Atralin etc.  Are all the same medication in different bases, like a gel, lotion or cream, and strengths. The stronger the strength the more irritating it is. Usually Atralin would be prescribed for oilier, acne prone, teen age skin.

CHEMICAL PEELS: It depends on the severity of your acne. It might be too much chemicals for your face already. Retin a (tretinoin) is strong enough to burn your face. You can try it by not combining the two rx.

Retin a (tretinoin) : Typically a topical retinoid such as this is discontinued while on an oral retinoid such as Accutane . Check with your dermatologist since the two products combined may cause your skin to become overly dry and irritated in addition to becoming more sun sensitive.

why is retin-a micro taking sooooo long for me to see results ? its been 8-9 weeks and only thing i noticed was less breakouts. still have uneven skin

Acne is improving: Since you are having fewer breakouts, the retin a (tretinoin) micro is working.  A newer medication that might work even better is epiduo.  Acne is usually a chronic condition and cannot be "cured" overnight.  It will take time so be patient. How are you cleansing your face? A gentle cleanser like cetaphil oil control is good, as is a brush like a clarisonic.

Yes : Retin a (tretinoin) does cause peeling but if too much or too irritating , you may need to back off or use a lower concentration.

Similar meds: Both have the same active ingredient tretinoin (or retin a).  The supatret  preparation uses cross polymer microsphere to deliver the medicine. The gel containing microspheres may have a different texture from the pure gel. Both should be as effective.

is it ok to use retin-a micro while on absorica 20mg (accutane) ? its only on my cheeks and thats it. or is that too much on my face ?

Ok if no skin rash: It is ok to use both. The cream plus Accutane may be too irritating. But it ok if you can tolerate it.
