Endocrine problem?: Pediatric Causes of hyperkalemia and tachycardia are extensive and need an evaluation by a pediatrician.  It may be as simple as dehydration or maybe as complex as a hormone disruption causing many metabolic derangements such as addisons disease or hyperthyroidism.

No: It is not normal.  It can be a side effect of quetiapine. A search for other causes is reasonable: thyroid excess, anemia, fever, infection, emotional upset, and pain are typical. More ominous causes include av fistula, congestive heart failure, or sepsis. A 24 hr heart recording would be helpful (to see your hr during sleep).

now my resting heart rate is around 65-85, when i exercise it never goes above 136 no matter how hard i push. is this a bad thing?

No: No those rates are good.The main thing to ask yourself-how do you feel-any lightheadedness or chest pain/abnormal shortness of breath.If not then I believe ok.Are you in better shape-that would explain it.

A few possibilities: Dehydration &amp;/or meds &amp;/or obesity. If you haven't got one, you need a12-lead ECG to determine what is going on. There is a nerve-based pathway in the heart that looks like an upside-down tree. The pacer is the sinus node. It shoots electricity to the AV node where the left and right bundle branches originate. Then the pathways branch over &amp; over. "Ectopic"/extra sites misbehave &amp; cause this too.

Heart rate: The threshold depends upon age and cardiac condition.  The standard threshold is 140-160 beats per minute for exercise.  Your resting heart rate is not normal at 90-110.  Is this typical?
