Not likely: Not sure what you mean by stud. I don't think it is possible to break and abutment. The second part of the implant that the crown is cemented to. However, the abutment is held in by a screw. Screws do come loose and have been known to break.

Yes: With the Implanon implant it is very common to have irregular bleeding in the first 6-12 months of use and it is very difficult to predict when and how much you will bleed. However, over time, many women report having much lighter periods and 1 out of 3 women stop having periods at all so you may have that to look forward to. It's just impossible to predict when any of that may happen for you.

Yes: Generally the answer would be yes.  The time and materials are pretty much the same.

: I don't know why you are getting a testicular implant. If you lost one testis get the size your Urologist recommends, The other testicle does not shrink with age.

Are you pregnant?: If you are 3 years later removing Implanon then you could have gotten pregnant since the birth control effects stopped a long time ago. Other than that adverse events are unlikely. Simply schedule a visit to have it removed.

Yes with risks: I think it is a great idea that most women appreciate if you do it for the right reasons and have reasonable expectations and understand the risks, in most instances, a small reduction to remove the hanging breast tissue will be recommended followed by the use of an implant to replace the lost upper breast volume. Discuss with a board certified plastic surgeon.

Yes: if your periods where normal before the implant, they should return to normal with 1-2 months

Fillers over implant: If the implant is a solid silastic or silicone implant there is no problem augmenting the chin now with fillers. If you have a liquid filled implant there would be the risk of rupturing it and this should be avoided. My personal advice is to remove the present implant and replace it with a larger one. This is very easy to do as most of the pocket and dissection is already done after removal .

if nexplanon stops ovulation, could my fertility be theoretically be extended by using the implant in my twenties and removing it in my late thirties?

Accepted Answer

Nexplanon: Nexplanon is a progestin implant, and if ovulation is inhibited on occasion, it does not "extend fertility", since fertility depends only on the availability of eggs in the ovaries.  Fertility begins to decline in one's mid-thirties, and the only way to preserve fertility is to freeze the eggs after extraction from the ovary for later artificial insemination.
