Scar revision: In my practice I use the excel v, it is a laser that effectively removes the redness from scars. To improve the texture, i inject scars with kenalog, (triamcinolone) laser them, and use topical retinoids which are prescription products.

See a dermatologist: Once you control the acne, probably with 100mg daily spironolactone or 100mg daily minocycline, the scars will gradually improve. Tretinoin or adapalene gel will probably be helpful. If these fail, isotretinoin orally will rescue you.

Often the er will call in a plastic surgeon if the stitches are on the face. (i had a cut once from a fall & it does not show at all, but it was done by a specialist.) if not ask your doctors and they will tell you what to do.
