Probably not: A gynecologist can do a thorough work up for pcos, endometriosis and other gyn problems that cause pelvic pain.

: If in "removing ovarian cysts" the active follicular cyst was also removed, the sudden decrease in estrogen can cause bleeding similar to that at the end of a cycle, when pregnancy does not occur, but not lasting as long perhaps as a true menstrual period.

is it normal for my period to be delayed if i underwent a laparoscopic ovarian cyst removal surgery? if so, how long should it be delayed? my last period was 11-18th march and i had the surgery on 18th march. its april 29th i havent got my period.

Delay common: Menstrual period delays are common involving ovarian surgeries of up to 3 weeks past the next expected date of the menses. The ovary is the site of many hormones that control the cycle and surgery interrupts the production. If you are not on a secure method of contraception and sexually active, run a pregnancy test.

The surgical: removal of an ovarian cyst will not (usually) affect ANYTHING..including future fertility!

Lupron effects: Lupron injections tend to minimize endometrial development for up to 3 months, therefore reducing or eliminating a menstrual flow for that time frame. It is also used to decrease the fibroid size of any remaining fibroids left after your previous surgery.

See gynecologist: Most of the people with pain and a ruptured ovarian cyst will have the cyst and the pain resolve over several weeks.  However if the pain isn't improving or the cyst isn't going away having surgery such as laparoscopy to remove the cyst can be helpful.  This is surgery a gynecologist would perform, so you could see that doctor.

Yes: Ovarian cysts can definitely interfere with cycle. Being overweight/obese can definitely cause women to miss cycles as well, due to excess estrogen.  Being obese as you know puts at increased risk for a lot of cancers and other health problems. At 34 you can do it, make the change and get to healthy weight.  You want to live long!

If not pregnant: This could  be caused by insulin resistance/polycystic ovarian syndrome, or other issues affecting ovulation. If only happens one time, this could be just a normal variation, one time event. Your doctor is an important source of information, and further testing/treatment.

Cysts and prolonged: LH surge are likely from underlying polycystic ovaries,  this can be a problem with irregular ovulation and cyclic flow. Can impede fertility to a greater or lesser degree.
