Cause of warts: Warts are caused by viruses which can be obtained from touching another person's warts or touching objects that have the virus on them (for example walking barefoot in locker rooms or pools).

how would a dermatologist remove the wart on my scalp? it's gotten bigger over the past month.

Accepted Answer

Depends: If it is a usual wart, it could be eliminated by freezing the tissue, and the dead wart will fall off. If it is something other than a usual wart, it may be excised under local anesthesia.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.

Several treatments.: You can try over the counter wart removers, but be careful: i've seen them do more harm than good. Other options your doctor might offer include cryotherapy (freezing the wart), electrocautery (burning the wart), laser treatment, or several different topical chemical treatments. If the treatment is typically uncomfortable, your doctor can numb the area before proceeding.

: Obtain an appointment with a dermatologist physician for an exam, who may biopsy the lesion if necessary.  Lesions as described are generally not malignant.

i have warts. in a suspect situation,  wanted to use bleach on toilet seat before my friend sit there, but  had to wash immediately(in 1 minutes), didn't wait 5-10 minutes. is that enough for kill hpv? can  infect her? she devolop redness on butt?

About toilets...: We don't worry about HPV anogenital wart viruses getting transmitted by bathroom fixtures. College-aged persons should already be vaccinated, right? HPV Gardasil-9 vaccine is approved for both men and women, and gives women and men protection against genital and anal warts, and perhaps some anal cancers. Proper cleaning of toilets is good, but one should be careful with chemicals.

A few options...: 65% of warts resolve on their own within 2yrs without treatment. If you like, you can try home remedies such duct tape(hair is a problem), rubbing raw garlic over then cover, tea-tree oil application etc...Have been reported with success. Otc med such as compound -w etc..If severe or persistent, consult your doc as there many treatment options..Topicals vs freezing/electrodesication etc..Good luck.

getting a mole/wart thing on my scalp removed. what can i expect?

Removal: Typically if a mole specimen is going to be sent for biopsy, the area is numbed with a tiny needle and then removed with a blade or scalpel.  Other treatment includes freezing a wart with liquid nitrogen ( stings for a few minutes due to the extreme coldness of the spray).  Talk to your physician about all options.

i have lots of redness in pubic hair area. seems to be near or on hair follicles. im wandering if its folliculitis or warts?

Not warts: Almost certainly folliculitis. Warts don't cause redness, are not common in the pubic area, and do not appear in association with hair follicles.
