Herpes sore: Whenever there is a lesion on the lips that comes and goes and leaves a red site it is most likely herpes simplex sore. It is a virus that is transmitted from person to person and stays in the person and gets reactivated by stress.

Yes, but...: Most people have caught herpes cold sore viruses by adulthood, and get a cold sore once in a while. They heal up, and the discoloration disappears in a couple of months. However, some people are prone to post-inflammatory skin changes, and get discoloration that stays for a long time... but should fade in 1-2 years of "no new inflammation." One's primary care or a skin doctor can explain more.

Hard to say: Honestly, without a picture of what these spots look like or seeing them in person, it will be incredibly difficult to diagnose this over the internet.The good news is that if they don't hurt and don't look like little vesicles, then it's probably not herpes.But you may need to have actual eyes on it for an official diagnosis and if you got your genital warts from your bf, I couldn't rule that out

If its directly related to a spot you are always biting then its likely a chronic inflammation area and may stay red as long as reinjury occurs.
