i have flakey bumpy red itchy skin on eyelids for the last 3 years. went to dr.  he did not know what it was. gave me fungal cream   not helping. help?

Eyelids sensitive: Eyelid skin is very delicate so it reacts easily to chemicals in the air or surface contact. Your eyelids could be irritated by or allergic to products used around your eyes, on your face or scalp, or things you handle. Seborrheic dermatitis can also cause scaly, red eyelids. You could try a brief course of hydrocortisone, used sparingly or be evaluated by a derm. Nail polish/epoxy have caused.

Eyelid Dermatitis: Eyelid dermatitis is a skin inflammation that occurs on the eyelids. It can create dry, flaky skin on the eyelids or an itchy rash, depending on the exact nature of the inflammation. It can affect eyesight if the eyelid becomes swollen or if the skin flakes off and irritates the eye.
This condition is usually caused by an allergic reaction. Treatment is a topical rx cortisone like Cloderm cream.

Many causes but: I would review the topical medications or make up you may have applied to the area as well as soap or other creams or lotions. If this gets worse or involves the eye, i would contact your primary care physician. It could also be eczema.

Blepharitis: This is an inflammation of the eyelids. If it has been present for a month, you will need to see an eye doctor. The soreness is suggestive of an infection vs itching an allergic reaction.

both allergies and: Blepharitis cause itching.  Usually the itching is worse with allergies. It is also possible to have both allergies and blepharitis at the same time.

Most commonly : Seen after waxing or depilation treatments. Topical steroids may help.

Several things: A common red growth in that area is what is termed a pyogenic granuloma - a sort of heaped up healing tissue which can grow bigger and sometimes bleeds  there are other rarer possibilities.  See your ophthalmologist for evaluation and removal if needed.

i have hsv2 genital. can i spread it to my eye? 2 small crusty bumps at the corner of eye lid and they turned into tiny ulcers. no more crust but it seems to be spreading, very tiny but now theres 4 small ulcers, not blisters. no eye red, skin itchy?

: It is possible to spread HSV from one area to another. It is possible you picked up the virus and touched your eye is how it spread. HSV 2 may also be seen in the facial area apart from the genital area.

Vague question: Behind and below eye socket in medical ophthalmology means behind the eye in the orbit, which you could not visualize.  So if you mean under your lower eyelid, then it could be a sty or an allergic contact dermatitis.  See and eye md.

Rash in newborn: ETN is not likely the cause (usually in first few days to 2 wks).  Neonatal acne is common and generally starts around 3 weeks of age.  Yes, neonatal acne can cover the areas mentioned.  Another common rash to be considered is seborrheic dermatitis - this rash will typically have flaky patches as well.  No treatment for acne, severe seborrhea may be tx with low dose steroid (ask your pediatrician)
