Arm pit: You may have an infecion of your hair follicles as a result of shaving. As a result you have a red rash and bad odor. See a dermatologist because you will need antibiotic treatment.

If caught early enough, a course of medication can be prescribed by doctor to abort the advancing infection.

May need visit: Such a rash located in an isolated location usually means a local issue. This could mean an allergic response to a new  deodorant, or something that contacted the area off your fingers when you scratch an itch. That could mean things as different as poison IVY or even a fungus.

Probably fungal: rash, moniiasis which will respond to OTC anti fungal creams like Lotrimin AF, Monistat, Clotrimazole etc. If itching is intense add a small bean sized drop of 1% hydrocortisone cream to  a nickel sized drop of anti fungal cram and apply as a thin film,twice daily.

As with all rashes..: ....It needs to be seen to be properly diagnosed.  Your description could be lots of things.  Possibilities include scabies, eczema,  contact dermatitis, a virus, an allergic reaction, and so on.  Each one of these requires a different treatment. See your doctor.

ive psoriasis. recently i noticed red rash on armpit. i put creams than i use on psoriasis and rash disappeared, but appeared again after 3 days. could this be fungus and not psoriasis?
