Anti fungal cream: Lamisil has a side effect on the liver.
Apply antifungal cream- antifungal with steroid is OK.
Apply twice daily x 4 weeks
may have to be re checked again.

Jock itch: Jock itch is a groin eruption usually caused by the combination of recurrent friction and a yeast infection. It is characterized by large region or red rash which may get worse if simple cortisone cream or ointment is applied. Treatment consists of avoidance of tight underwear and application of an antiyeast ointment. This can be combined with cortisone such as in mycolog to curtail itching.

Unlikely to diaper: Diaper reactions do appear within a day but usually effect the margins where the bands keep them tighter &amp;/or the plastic touches the skin. It would also effect both sides rather than one area. Such rashes vary in origin from irritation to yeast to bacteria. An exam is often required to sort them out.

Rash: The rash needs to be seen by your physician. It may be contact dermatitis/ allergic dermatitis, yeast infection, scabies etc.

Sounds fungal: Talk to your doctor.  Several creams and powders should help with this.   Keep areas clean and dry.

Fungal infection: What you described suggests a fungal infection, like ringworm or jock itch. You may try over the counter medication for ringworm, like Lamisil. If that does not resolve the issue in a week or so, it would be prudent to see a doctor.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.  Drink enough water daily so that your urine is mostly colorless.
Practice safe sex.

This : This rash could be a few different things. 
- impetigo is a skin infection caused by bacteria - either streptococcus or staph. This needs to be treated with antibiotics. 
- contact dermatitis is skin inflammation. It can be caused by plants such as poison ivy or poison oak or it can be from contact of a chemical or item that a person is particularly sensitive to. This is usually treated with steroid creams or oral steroids. 
- viral illness such as chicken pox, shingles or herpes can also cause painful blisters on a red base. This can be treated with anti-virals or just needs to run its course depending on the severity of the infection.

The best thing to do is to contact his doctor and have him seen, since each possible problem requires different treatments. Good luck.
