Time: Keep the area clean and don't mess with it anymore.  The more you touch it, the greater the chances of infection.  Hope this helps!

Cluster sounds like: herpes, there should be pain, itching or some kind of symptom with the blisters. I would see derm right away to confirm diagnosis and get meds to treat, prevent or shorten course. hope that helps

i have one small red bump in the area at the bottom of my mouth where my gums meet my lip, right in the middle. it has a white pimple-looking head on it. it is causing me pain throughout my mouth and burns whenever i eat/drink. what could it be?

It sounds like u r: describing a pustule which could be associated with an underlying abscess.This would require proper antibiotics and possible surgical drainage.Go c ur dentist.There r other painful mouth/gum lesions possible,but the one above must be ruled out.

Maybe: If it is just some redness due to the trauma of popping the bump, it should fade over the next few months.  However, trauma can sometimes cause new blood vessels (telangiectasias) to form which could be more permanent.  Patience and sun protection are my short term recommendations.

Lip pimples: Are they pimples or herpes lesions?  Pimples are improved with topical acne  medications. Herpes are improved with  acyclovir  or may be milia. . Rarely may be impetigo( a skin infection with staph bacteria) or Fodyce spots- cysts filled with  sebum) .

Drainage: When it drains it will feel better and begin to heal. If it does not drain on its own, a DR will drain it.

Pimple or cold sore?: Pimples are common on the lip margin (the vermillion border) and around the mouth.  So are cold sores.  Sometimes it can be difficult to tell just by looking at one point in time. If there is pain, that might suggest cold sore, and if it does go on to blister, then cold sore it is.  However, if it does not go away within a week or two, i would recommend evaluation by a dermatologist.
