Scleroderma: Could increase capillarity just under the nail, below cuticle, reynaud's could cause discoloration of the finger tip. Fm is not associated directly with peripheral blood flow changes.

Raynaud's?: This could be a condition called raynaud's. The arteries in the hands clamped down when exposed to cold. The hands can turn white then red or blue. This typically is not a serious condition and can best be treated with avoidance of cold exposure to the hands.

Too early: The redness you see after 18 hours is likely just inflammation.  Infection, if it occurs, will be evident in 2-3 days.  If it is progressing, have a Dr examine

Srthritis: This may just be some inflammation from a flare if osteoarthritis. You may benefit from taking one of the otc anti inflammatories such as aleve (naproxen) or Motrin if you can take them for 5-7 days and see if it helps.  If not, see your doctor.

Maybe: Two red marks sounds like a bug bite, the only way to know if it was a spider is in 1-2 days it will turn dark around the red marks. If this occurs u should visit your local md or ed because it will need excision.

HAND ITCH: Only one hand? How long had it been. It could be something you are in contact with. New soap? Work materials? Gloves? Hobbies? Be a detective. Do you take any oral medications?
