salt water: Saltwater gargles are helpful. Mix a tsp of salt in 8 oz of warm water – gargle w this several times/day.

Yes: Pseudomonas is a very uncommon organism to find in the throat. It may just be a contaminant though it can be found as a true pathogen--causing an infection--in people with depressed immune systems or with cystic fibrosis. You should consult with an infectious disease specialist.

Start with MD: i would start with your primary doctor.  It may be as simple as post nasal drip or heartburn.  If unable to help they can send you to ENT.

Throat: If the throat progressively gets better, its probably viral. If not you need to get it cultured. Gargling with salt water and  ibuprofen may help

Throat infection: There are different degrees of throat infection.  Most are caused by a virus,  some are caused by bacteria.  There could be a various symptoms,  and different levels of pain or redness. If there is not fever, redness, or swelling, it probably is not a severe infection.

Generally, redness, swelling is a visible sign that the cells in the area are releasing cytokines (chemical communications) to cause your blood vessels to dilate and immune cells to slip through and infiltrate the involved tissues.

Maybe a big tonsil: Tonsils are part of the immune system. When enlarged, they look like an oval lump on the left and right sides of the back of the throat, behind the tongue. Big tonsils can have little whitish lumps of material stuck in them (theses would be called cryptic tonsils, with the crypts being the holes containing "crypt debris" or "tonsil stones"). A primary care doctor can evaluate and treat as needed.
