Yes: If it is a cyst it won't disappear with the administration of an antibiotic and you'll need your doc to open it and drain it. Let him have a look/see.

a weakness in your immune system for example, from the cold or flu , stress or
lack of vitamins and minerals in the diet, including vitamin B12 or folate (folic acid).

on sat saw tiny red bump on lip line. thought cold sore, started acyclovir pills & cream. the red bump grew, didnt burst, i popped it, long white head/pus followed by clear liquid. still no scab or oozing despite pills, how will i know its healed?

: It has been 5 days with pills and cream treatment as well. It may not scab. If the skin is all intact and no open wound from the popping, you can consider it healed.

Difficult to answer: Not sure what this redness is caused by? You may have to be more specific or even have a picture available in order to get the most accurate answer. If it's due to irritation, however, a moisturizing agent, such as vaseline, will help heal the area. Also, avoiding  the irritant such as certain lip balms/lipsticks, lip licking, will greatly help. use flouride free paste
Drink plenty of fluids.
avoid exposure to extremes of temperature.

Maybe an allergy: Allergic reactions like hives usually present with a rash but they may start as simply itching.  Also a contact dermatitis will start with itching but by several days you should be able to see a rash.  Try to evaluate what new things-foods, medications, supplements you are taking recently and stop them.  Have your doctor evaluate this if it persists.  Antihistamines may help relieve hives.
