If you mean alcohol,: That is a vasodilator, i.e., it widens the blood vessels on the surface of the skin.  Thus, your skin gets red and you get warm from the additional blood flow.  See your doc to make sure you don't have an allergy.  Peace and good health.

Allergy: You are allergic to some component in the cream. Use antihistamines until it goes away and see an allergist to determine what it is in the cream that you are allergic to. If the redness or swelling continue to spread or if you have trouble breathing, call 911 and get to the er fast. Best wishes.

: Flushed face is not a known side effect of the noted medications &amp; not a symptom of PKD; however, med side effect can't be ruled out. The temporal relationship between that symptom and the starting time of each medication may be helpful in defining the causal relationship and you should track that down. If sx is of recent onset &amp; meds have been used for months or years, meds aren't the culprit.
