See a doctor: Without examining you in person, it's tough to say what the red bump may be.  It could be nothing or something more serious.  If you have a suspicious lesion that won't heal, itches, bleeds, or is changing in any way, you should see your dermatologist (if it's on the skin by the eye) or an ophthamologist (if it's in the eye) so it can be properly evaluated.

Stye most likely: If the vision is normal and the eye is not red, then this is probably a stye.  Treat this with hot compresses, frequently throughout the day until is shrinks and disappears which is the usual outcome  If it persists, see an ophthalmologist.

More info: If no drainage, may use warm water on a sterile cotton ball and wipe down.  Do this several times a day using a new cotton ball each time.  If symptoms persist, please see your physician or an ophthalmologist.

Cold sores: It is most likely a cold sores.  If this is the first time you have it , most likely you have been exposed to somebody with it. It is caused by Herpes virus. Sometimes treatment is needed esp if it become recurrent.

Eyeball bump: A bump on the eyeball itself it is quite rare, and needs to be evaluated. Common bumps on the eyelids are styes. Causes for a bump on the eyeball itself is chronic irritation of the membrane over the eyeball, which can thicken and/or get some particle stuck in it. Bleeding beneath the membrane (subconjunctival hemorrhage) is common from minor trauma, but flattens out by pressure from the membrane.

Eye bump: A bump on the eye could be many things but without seeing it, there is no way to know what it is.  Go see an eye doctor.

Skin infection: did you actually see a spider bite you? If not, the bump you describe is likely an abscess. In any event, it should be evaluated by a physician to determine the appropriate course of treatment (I &amp; D +/- antibiotics).

Infection: This sounds like an infected hordeolum ( stye ) You will need an eye exam and specific Rx antibiotics. You must be examined.

Red bump: You may have a stye on your eyelid. Apply hot compresses to the stye until it comes to a head and drains.
