Boil: This boil may need incised and drained if its not responding to antibiotics. I know it sounds harsh but this would definitely relieve the pain. You should go to the nearest ER or urgent care center.

Time and warm soaks.: Do not try to pop it . It will drain itself if you can be patient. The simple treatment is to sit in warm water to draw the boil to a head. It will eventually come to a head and may go down or may drain on its own. If you squeeze you may actually cause a cellulitis and make it more red and cause it to spread. Hold off on sex for now. Best wishes.

See your gyne ASAP: You probably had a Bartholin's cyst that came, to a head and burst .You should see your gynecologist immediately for immediate follow up treatment.

: Wash daily with mild soap and water, dry, apply OTC antibiotic ointment. If not better in a week pl see your Gyn.

You need to be seen.: This sounds like an infected cyst, which needs drainage to get relief of the infection and pain.  It has nothing to do with cleanliness or diseases---just bad luck!  Go to an ObGyn or FP or if you can't get in quickly you can go to an ED for some pain relief and a referral.  Meanwhile, sit in very warm water;  you can also use a hot water bottle, wear a warm washcloth or a hand warmer to the area.

Boil or HSV: Herpes looks a lot like a boil. You should see a doctor and get it tested.  Herpes has small bumps which can sometimes be filled with fluid. They can be red and painful.  You won't get tss if you pop it, but see doctor before popping it so you can get it cultured.  It's important to know so, if positive, you can tell partner and you'll need meds if have vaginal delivery to prevent transmission.
