Heat urticaria?: Many patients come with complaints of itching and rarely hives after a hot bath. If hives appear it could be due to hot water. In that case, reducing the temperature of water will help. Applying moisturizing creams or Vaseline immediately after bath may relieve itching.

hi, i have a blotchy red rash on my lowerlegs appear after i shower, about ten minutes later it dissapears. any chance this is a hiv rash? just wanted to check.

Cholinergic urticari: This is more likely from cholinergic urticaria which can be triggered by any increase in core body temperature followed by a cooling down phase.  This can be prevented by taking an antihistamine prior to the event if proved bothersome enough and is not a serious condition. HIV rash would not have let you off that easily. It is time for you to reconsider your sexual practice to avoid future worries

Rash: Rash that are induced by shower or sun could be related to the heat that makes the rash appears. It tends to disappear within short period of time.

Viral? Allergic?: Blotchy appearing reddish rashes can occur when the blood flow in the tiny vessels at the skin's surface change, such as in an allergic rash, a viral rash, or in reaction to changes in skin temperature. Viral infections that cause cold symptoms and other symptoms can sometimes cause such skin patterns (fifth disease, caused by a virus, can cause reddish patterns). A doctor can evaluate if needed.

Reaction: This appears to be both a primary irritation as well as a possible allergic reaction to the NAIR. Take an antihistamine like benadryl(causes drowsiness) or Claritin; apply a cortisone type cream also. If severe redness spreads, or fever develops, have your physician examine and treat you.
