hi i am a dark skin female currently with pityriasis rosea and some of my rashes are a bit flaky however some more appearing. i would like to ask what are the signs that the rashes are going. thank you?

: You don't mention how long you've had the rash. There is no treatment for this mild viral infection and the rash may last up to 3 months. If the rash is still spreading the rash has a way to go. Once spreading ceases, it's a sign that the rash will start clearing.

Tricky: dermatologic conditions are hard to discuss without seeing them.But rosacea doesnt go away easily. Hives, blush, allergy, conditions relating to reversible circulatory changes can be very reversible.

Doubt PR: PR doesn't look like that. If continues and worsens, would see a dermatologist. Could be drug rash or contact dermatitis. Need to have a doc see it in person.

Pr has been associated with the human herpes family, human herpes virus type 6.

Similar appearance: The palisading variant of small-plaque parapsoriasis is particularly similar to pityriasis rosea. Several salmon-colored patches with a fine scale at the edge can occur scattered over the trunk and extremities. Large plaque parapsoriasis has larger arching appearance and is more distinct. Pityriasis rosea is more common, benign and limited to 10-20 days vs months for parapsoriasis. See derm.

Time: It can take up to six weeks for the rash to resolve.  It rarely recurs, does not scar and does not lead to anything else.  An anti-itch bland lotion can help (e.g. Sarna).  If you have a rash on your hands/feet, see your doctor because syphilis can be mistaken for pityriasis.  Untreated, secondary syphilis can go underground, appear to resolve and cause much worse trouble.

It doesn't: An hpv rash?  Hpv in general terms doesn't cause a rash in men.  It can cause bumps.  I do rectal paps on my male population because of the high prevalence in the gay community here.  I think you may have been misdiagnosed.
