Rash as an endpoint: Many of the viral illnesses will have a final stage marked by a generalized rash. Years ago before fancy labs & tests, the DX was made from the rash pattern. It is felt to represent an endpoint where the virus has been trapped by antibodies & will drift to the cooler skin surface & leak out of capillaries as a reddish stain, a graveyard effect for the virus.

Common finding: This is a common finding in many kids who receive the MMR. It is a sign the weakened virus in the vaccine did its job well and the kid had a minor rash in response.The real thing would have been 20X worse. The lump is a reactive lymph node and will reduce in size within 2-3 wks.You might call the office to have the experience recorded in the chart, but I wouldn't worry about going in.

?????: Not sure what the rash is from. Could be insect bites such as mites or bedbugs or it could also be due to a chemical exposure such as a new laundry detergent or some other toiletry item. I would definitely go see your primary care provider and if they cannot diagnose and treat it, then a referral to a dermatologist should help.

Eczema: It may be eczema which is a dry skin condition that could be caused by allergies.  Indoor dry heat could aggravate eczema.  If you are asthmatic then you are more prone to developing eczema.  Treatment includes moisturizers, antihistamines and steroid creams.  Humidifiers can be helpful during the heating season.

Allergic reaction to: Stick with your Brand name product! Most likely generic equivalent has inactive ingredient which caused you allergic reaction. Talk to your pharmacist. Take antihistamine as well.

Difficult to tell..: Rashes such as poison ivy/oak, fungal(ringworm), bacterial infections (impetigo) etc.. Can be cured. Rashes such as eczema, psoriasis, ichthyosis etc...Are not curable, only treatable. Viral rashes such as chicken pox, measle, roseola etc..Will heal on their own with or without treatment. Xyzal (levocetirizine) &atarax =antihistamines. Singulair is not very good for rash. I suggest reconsulting doc. Good luck.
