i have a rash on my neck and arms after sun exposure. sometimes i feel nauseous and exhausted. i spend 1 hr. in the sun max . why does this happen ?

Sun poisoning: Your rash is due to sun exposure. Being in the hot sun dehydrates you and alters your electrolytes and metabolic makeup causing nausea and fatigue. Be warned that too much sun can result in much more serious problems like melanoma.

my daughter has a cigarette burn type rash on her face neck and arms . a few on her butt what could it be ?

Couple of things: I have seen this with chickenpox and impetigo. It may be best to have her looked at because strep A can be involved and the risk of not treating is the same as strep throat.

See doctor: You may try taking antihistamine to see if this helps.  If not, a topical hydrocortisone may be tried. However if the problem persists for &gt; 6 wks or worsens, you need to see your doctor.

Rash needs exam: Rashes are difficult to evaluate without being seen.  Could be acne, folliculitis, mollusca contagiosum, many, many things.  If it bothers you, see your doctor.

Different causes: There are different causes of this type of rash includung allergy to foods, medications, etc. Have a physician or dermatologist evaluate the rash if still present. In the meantime if you're uncomfortable you could take Benadryl (diphenhydramine) for the itch but be aware that it can cause drowsiness. Claritin is less effective but does not cause drowsiness.

i am currently being treated for genital herpes, culture not back to confirm. i also have a rash on neck,feet, arms. is this all herpes?

Unlikely: Herpes lesions are usually localized.. what you may have is an allergic rash in response to medication or something else. Your treating physician should be able to investigate.
