Electrical angle: They are angles of electrical vectors of the upper (p) and lower (qrs) chambers of the heart. P wave axis is within normal range. The qrs is leftward but within normal range as well.

Computer EKG reading: The computer interpretation of an ECG is merely calculations put into words.  You need to discuss the ECG findings with your physician who ordered it.  To be able to interpret an ECG you have to take into consideration a pts symptoms, age, past medical history, and the ecg.

: Your EKG is not perfectly normal but no serious finding. It is more helpful if you let us know why you had the EKG done.

Unusual: Heart rate of 97 at rest is slightly faster than normal. Qrs complexes in leads v5 and v6 should be positive and not negative. I question those findings and wonder about misplaced leads. Discuss these ekg findings with your physician.

See my earlier post: RAD means that the electrical impulses arising from the right ventricle are abnormally strong and suggest that your ASD is volume overloading and overworking your RV. AS I said earlier, you need the left to right shunt quantified by echo and corrected if &gt;1.5:1.

Tachycardia: some of those numbers don't make sense -- but you probably have sinus tachycardia.  Please discuss with your doctor some more

See below: Your atrial septal defect and atrial septal aneurysm are sufficient to account for a RAD. You need to ask the echo reader to quantitate the amount of left to right shunting that is present. If significant. the ASD should be closed. The other parameters of your EKG are normal.

i am a 25 female. i went to the er and had an ekg done. the results came back normal sinus rhythm, abnormal ecg, lateral infarct age undetermined, qrs axis shifted right....what does that mean and should i be concerned?

: Check to make certain it was read by a real person and not the machine, Assuming the put the EKG leads on correctly and you were not ill from anything and have no family history of early heart disease (women before age 60) and your history, physical exam and labs were normal just check with your GP as the ER likely suggested.
