R/o std: Any lesion on the penis warrants a look by an M.D. and evaluation to rule out syphylis, herpes and other sexually trasmitted diseases. Syphylis classically presents with a painless ulcer. You may need to be on antibiotics to prevent progression. Wear a condom if engaging in sexual activity.

i have a few small blister like semi painful pimple on the shaft of my penis, under head, is it possible this is anything but herpes? there is no pus

Genital herpes: If "few" means more than one lesion; they started as blister like, now turning more like pimples; then becoming scabs -- then almost certainly it's herpes. It is crucial to have lab diagnosis to confirm, in particular to learn whether caused by HSV1 or HSV2, which makes big differences in treatment, possibility of future recurrent outbreaks, and transmission risk for partners. Two things: It sounds like you had a folliculitis for the pimple, but the blisters and scabs sound like you have contracted the herpes from your wife.  See your physician for antiviral therapy.

Non-problem: Keep it washed. If the area is not healed up by 2 weeks, a physician's office visit is in order. Think about getting an electric shaver, and washing before and after you shave yourself there.

?Pearly pink papules: A symmetrical ring of of ting bumps around penis just under outer edge of glans penis are perfectly normal. Tend to be more prominent on an uncircumcised penis and can appear to be more or less prominent from time to time. They are normal.
