Reaction to med: Stop taking the medication and call your doctor immediately or head to the emergency room, this reaction may progress to steven johnson syndrome if your skin start peeling. Don't dismiss your symptoms please.

But in view of your other somewhat nondiagnostic symptoms, I would recommend one more opinion from an otolaryngologist at a department of otololaryngology at a university hospital near you. I hope this would reassure you that you have no serious throat or ear pathology.
