: Do you feel that you've had a sore throat or a throat infection? Can you recall any throat trauma.or something that caused throat irritation? These are things that can cause some tonsillar discoloration. If this discoloration persists have a throat examination by your physician or an ENT specialist.

i have a purple spot on my left tonsil. what is it?

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without examining you. You may watch and wait. If the spot more than doubles in size, ulcerates, bleeds, other spots develop, you have enlarged glands in the neck, develop fever or lose weight, see a doctor.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

lumps below my tonsils. 17 years old, only on one side, varying in size from largest being 5mm. purple colour between some lumps. what is it????

Lumps: May be normal tonsil tissue or veins below the tonsils. see an ent to check it out.

Hard to say: If your throat is sore may need to be checked for infection.  Tonsils have a lot of blood vessels on them.  Suggest a consultation where you can be examined

my dr told me my tonsils are swollen and are a deep purple color. i've been put on a z-pak today but what made this happen and will i need them remove?

Most of the time NO: With better antibiotics , and medical management  surgery for tonsils are done less often than few decades ago. go back for follow up you will b fine.

ive had a sore throat on and off for months and theres dark purple veins all over the back of my throat. plus my tonsils look orange. should i be worried about this?  how do i treat it?  it doesnt seem to be healing at all

Throat pain: If you have had intermittent throat pain for months- surpised  you haven't had it checked out yet. Medical assessment is the next step.

Tonsils: Yes you may see some vascular marking during exam and especially if there is an illness e.g. infection or allergies. Please consult a physician if you have any symptoms.

Obstructive tonsils?: How long have they been this swollen? Also how old is he, and we would want to know how it affects his breathing, eating, speech, and sleep (snoring), and again for how long? If it is all very recent and accompanied with a runny nose and cough, we could attribute it to viral. But most likely we are considering tonsil and likely adenoid hypertrophy, and based on above factors directs treatment.

i have a bunch of purple veins scattered on my soft pallet, my tonsils are red but not in pain, white coating on back of tongue with no pain, and my uvula is touching my tongue (also has veins on it). noticed this for a month, what is it?

: A normal big uvula is my guess.  But show to your Dr.
