Corectopia: What you describe is called corectopia. this is common ager certain ocular surgeries or penetrating trauma. Also seen after ocular inflammation. or untreated trauma. If none of these applies, it is probably worth having it looked at

Concerning symptom: Any time one pupil is larger than the other, a complete evaluation should be performed.  Is the pupil reactive to light?  If not, an ER visit for brain imaging is essential.

Get checked: If you have a new headache, especially if severe, with pupil changes (that persist), call your doctor now.  If you don't have a doc, and the symptoms continue, go to an UC or ER, especially if the pain is severe and this lasts for more than 15-30 minutes.

See ENT doc: Unequal pupil size—called anisocoria—may be due to abnormalities within an eye, or due to nerves going into the head from within the chest. It may also be seen in healthy people. Get the other symptoms checked by an ENT doc.

Alters focus: Having more than one pupil, which is unusual, comes from trauma or a few rare degenerative conditions of the iris.  If the two pupils are close to each other, than this would produce two focus points on the retina - a condition of doubled vision,.   This is usually poorly tolerated and your ophthalmologist has ways to fix this.

Check photos: to see if has always been there . If yes, it is likely physiologic anisocoria which is fine. If this is a new change - than get checked.

Might be ok: About 20% of people have a small difference between right vs left pupil size with no symptoms at all.  If the difference is large, you should show your doctor.

Neurologic: May be nothing, but also may be sign of neurological impairment, stroke, tumor, etc.  Please see physician asap.

What kind: Diabetic tend to have a smaller pupil.  What kind of retinopathy do you mean?  If the person develops unequal pupil then he/she needs to consult an ophthalmologist asap.
