: The most common cause of a pulsating sensation in the abdomen is the beating of the largest artery in the body,the aorta. It is more noticeable in slender individuals but high blood pressure and presence of an aneurysm must be ruled out when strong pulsations are felt. However a pressure discomfort isn't normal. I recommend having a physician examine&amp;advise you if symptoms persist.

Doctor can evaluate: Many things are in the abdomen:  stomach, liver, small intestine, gall bladder, appendix, large intestine, abdominal muscles, kidneys, etc...  An exam by a primary care doctor can help figure things out. One's doctor can look for the pulsing location. Lower than the intestines are one's bladder, uterus, ovaries, and tubes... meaning an exam from the vagina and rectum can help find the cause.

Could be gas: Most likely spasm as gas passing through, maybe even kidney/ureteral stone.
 Pain?  Bleeding? Fever?  Duration? Bowel habit? Urinary issues? Back pain? Constant or comes and goes?
Other factors like previous surgery, inflammatory/gyn issues could lead to adhesions(internal scars) which can cause issues.  Hernias?
Ongoing, acute, above factors, or other issues- see your doc.

Aortic pulse?: It is not uncommon to palpate an aortic pulse, especially in thin women/patients.  An abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) would be rare at your  age, but to be safe, see your dr. And get checked out.  A simple us of the abdomen to screen for AAA would be definitive.

Pelvic pain requires and examination to help organize the evaluation. Pulsating pain down to the vagina on the right could indicate appendicitis. : If you have sore abdomen, muscle cramp may be the case. However, if you now have the lower back pain, herniated disc is likely by what you described. You can use local cold or warm pad + tylenol vs ibuprofen every 6 hours for pain and discomfort and do not restraint from moving but avoid motion to exacerbate the pain for a day or two. Whatever the cause, it is usually self limited.
