Let me explain: Pubic bone pain in pregnancy is also know as pubic symphysis diastasis. This is where, usually in later pregnancy, the hormone relaxin causes the pelvis, particularly at the pubic bone, to loosen. In general, this is a good thing as it makes birth easier for mom and baby. However, sometimes the separation is exaggerated and can become quite pain for the mother at the end of pregnancy

A cough probably is too short to push out a hernia to see, but a finger up either side of the scrotum can sometimes feel a hernia without seeing it. Women can get a hernia in the same area, but are much less likely to have it than men are.

Wash area before shaving – warm water helps to soften hair. Use a lubricant when shaving. Avoid using products that contain alcohol or are scented.  Shave in direction of the hair – not against it. Be gentle when shaving – don’t push down too hard. Moisturize skin after shaving.
