I don't think, however, just because something is psychodelic, it means it is bad for you, but that opinion is unfortunately not widely held in our current american culture.   This brings up the legal concerns regarding use.

Fainting: Psychogenic shock is a physiologic response of the body to a perceived overwhelming emotional stress.  The blood vessels dilate, reducing blood flow to the brain.  Blood pressure then drops, resulting in dizziness, light headedness, and/or nausea. The skin becomes sweaty, and pulse rate increases. Recovery consists of lying flat or having head slightly lower than rest of the body. Hope this helps.

Syncope: Psychogenic syncope has no underlying cardiac or neurologic casues usually the result of a psychiatric issue. Neurogenic syncope can result from  cardiac disease such as an arrythmia or the result of blood pressure instability. Cardiac eval and tilt table testing can often help diagnose the causes.
