Psoriatic arthritis: Is muck like rheumatoid and other inflammatory arthritides, consult  your PCP or a rheumaotolgist to learn about different medications, some which are psoariasis specific and may help joint issues concurrently some which are specifically for joint issues. Many advanced in the past few years with DMARDS have helped patients but need to understand risks and benefits.

Try OTCs: Without medical insurance it is difficult to get appropriate care at times. Try over-the-counter medications such as Ibuprofen (advil, motrin) or Naproxen (aleve), which are lower dose versions of standard anti-inflammatory medication you get from your doctor. Adding some acetominophen in between may help as well. If that doesn't get you comfortable, try the free clinic at your hospital.

See rheumatologist: Oa and psoriatic arthritis is an unfortunate combination. Both ( and often do)can affect the joints of the fingers.... As u know. Sometimes rheumatology docs can prescribe stronger meds which can be very effective for your arthritis . See a board certified rheumatologist. Best of luck!

It depends...: The type of doctor you see determines the treatment she'll get. A rheumatologist will prescribe immunosuppressing drugs which can help but are dangerous. Homeopathy might safely cure her problem but you need to see a really good homeopath. For advice on home remedies see an ayurvedic doctor who will give herbs & advice re: diet etc.I advise trying homeopathy/ayurveda 1st, drugs if they don't work.

This group of drugs is the best to treat arthritis caused by psoriasis.
