As a male,with oral,thrush , have a serious talk with your doc regarding how you got the thrush. If this was due to sexual transmission, your partner needs treatment as well.

Yes: The combination of diflucan and prozac is high risk for QT prolongation. Your doctor needs to reassess this combination.

ive been given fluconazole for yeast infection (vaginal/buttocks area). i take prozac and there can be a significant and possibly deadly interaction which i am concerned about due to having pvcs and sinus tachy. dr says should be fine. suggestions?

: Your doctor is right. The increased risk of cardiac arrhythmia is infrequent and usually not severe. And fluconazole is gone from your system after a couple of days, and it probably would not be harmful to skip fluoxetine (Prozac) for a day or two (but check with your doctor before doing so). If you remain concerned, you could replace fluconazole with one of the many vaginal azole treatments.

Xanax (alprazolam) prozac: These two medicines are used together.  If your experience with prozac was not negative today, then taking xanax (alprazolam) tonight will be safe. If you can get by with half dose of xanax (alprazolam), then you may be  better off, but that adjustment is probably not essential.

Avoid: Not sure about how well n-acetyl-l-tyrosine is absorbed and metablized in the body.  However, the base component, tyrosine is an Amino Acid that is in the precursor pathway for Dopamine production.  Dopamine is an important neurotransmitter in certain parts of the brain.  Prozac (fluoxetine) and ssris have been shown to impact Dopamine levels.  So, I am not sure what effect they would have in combination.

Wean off prozac: A slow taper off prozac, under the supervision of your prescribing physician, is rather easy and uncomplicated and you should do well.

It inhibits neurons' reuptake of serotonin, so that more remains available in neuronal synapses.  Common side effects include nausea, diarrhea, dizziness, drowsiness, sweating, and yawning.   There can also be changes in sexual functioning.
