Check w/ prescriber!: Prozac (fluoxetine), Pliva 333 (metronidazole), ritalin (methylphenidate) (a stimulant), and birth control are all commonly prescribed meds. Doses? Indications? Routes? Form of birth control? Always provide an updated list of ur meds to each of your docs/prescribers. Contact ur prescribers ASAP to learn about any possible drug-drug interactions! Use condoms until ur certain no interaction w BC.  Be well!

Evaluation needed: As family doctors we tackle many issues regarding women's health and this certainly seems to be one of them. May i suggest that you do things in this order: 1. As a 22 year old sexually active woman you need annual pap with hpv determination. While this is not likly the cause of your symptoms, you should really take the screening seriously. Please go an have the evaluation so that the pap is done.

Cbt with meds: For "depressed" episodes make sure therapy strategies are an integral part of your care and wellness plan.  Think of increased "doses" of self care strategies in particular when you have discerned patterns or rhythms in your life when you need to gird your posituve mood.   Meds can also be considered with your meds prescriber.  Hope this may be of use

Explore more options: Sorry these haven't worked but there are further options to explore including acupuncture, herbal medicine, essential oils, homeopathy, amino acids, use of progesterone premenstrually etc. You will likely have best success using a combination of therapies. I advise working with a holistic/integrative practitioner.
